![]() ![]() I took a sample image and performed what SHOULD have been a simple adjustment - Local brush with -EV and +clarity on the water. The story turns sour when it comes to local adjustments. Plus, I rarely actually use those features, though I like having them. GPU-intensive operations (enhance details/super resolution) are about 1/2 the speed of the gaming laptop, but since this MBA weighs literally about as much as the power brick alone for the gaming laptop, I can deal with that. ![]() It's a 10.5lb beast of a machine (really a desktop replacement). In fact, in 'normal' operations (scrolling through Library, going to Develop mode, zooming full screen, etc.) are actually faster than my behemoth gaming laptop - i7 7820 or something quad core with 32GB RAM, 1080 GTX (desktop version) video card. Initially, I really liked how Lightroom was running on the little machine. I was curious to see how Lightroom Classic would run natively, so loaded the software and went to work. So I recently got myself an MBA M1, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD (the 8-core GPU model, if that actually means anything). ![]() MacBook Air M1 Impressions - LR Classic vs. ![]()
